Starting
in the middle part of 1977, Grandmaster Labor and Grandmaster Bert
Labitan forumulated what needed to be included in the Siete Pares
Escrima Labor Labitan system.
In
September 1979, Siete Pares Escrima Labor Labitan system was forged
by Maestro Sosing Labor and Grandmaster Bert Labitan to include the
Labitan system. In November 1994, the Siete Pares Escrima
Labor Labitan system was born and stewardship and leadership of
Siete Pares Escrima Labor Labitan system was turned over to
Grandmaster Bert Labitan and continued the legacy of Siete Pares
Escrima under Grandmaster Bert Labitan’s leadership and
guidance.
Between
the 1994 and the present day, Grandmaster Bert Labitan’s health had
not been in the best shape. So, on April 26, 2008, the Grandmaster
(Bert Labitan) established the Guardians of the Art. The
rightful heirs are his two sons, Pares Labitan, Orabis Labitan and
Julie Anne Xiomara Shanefelt (the grand daughter) as the ultimate
heir.

Estanol, Presiding, 10th degree black belt
Grandmaster Joe
Giron, Trainer of Fighters, 9th degree black belt
Grandmaster
Ernesto Hernandez, Dumog and Chinese Kenpo, 9th degree black
belt
Grandmaster Bro
Cesar Jovillar, Spiritual Battles, 9th degree black belt
All
Grandmasters are initiated into the Brotherhood wearing the same
Pendant, have memorized all of the prayers, understand each
other’s signs, are knowledgeable of the 30 Sinawali patterns,
and all the Siete Pares Escrima secrets.
This
lineage has been fully authorized by Maestro de Maestro Supreme
Grandmaster Bert Labitan, and all Grandmaster and Master
certificates have been signed in his own blood and with the guidance
of the Holy Spirit and the prayer that goes with it.
